Words are merely another tool in the artist’s pallette — and often work alongside the printed image, be it in the form of photo cutlines or a slam-dunk header. David Welling has written articles for such publications as The Houston Post, Health & Fitness, Siren and the Houston Press. He has also handled music, book, and product reviews for retail. His book, Cinema Houston, was published in 2007 by the University of Texas Press.
